Burris Timberline scope

For a long time I have been looking for a scope to mount on my Marlin 1894C rifle. Most scopes are way to long for me and forces me to keep my head pulled back at an odd angle. Well today I was cruising through Midwayusa and found the Burris Timberline 4x20mm for about $159.00. It is just a hair over 8" and looks to be a perfect fit for this rifle. I got a one piece mount and Burris rings. Later this week it should arrive and I will mount it. I am quite excited. A scope really squeezes the maximum from these little rifles. I'm getting to old for iron sights anymore...

I put a leupold pistol scope on a scout mount on mine when my eyes started to fade. I like a scoped marlin a lot. I think you will too.
