I don't know how many of you out there have been trying to get load data for the new .450 collaboration from Bushmaster and Hornady. If you have been trying to get this info I hope you had more luck than I have to this point. All I have had up until this past weekend was a large bag of brass and a set of REALLY clean dies. Anyway I recently found out some data straight from the horses mouth, that is to say the Hornady reps at their booth at the NRA annual meeting & show in Louisville. According to them the actual bullet that is used in the current commercial load won't be available until some time in 2009. They suggested using (and said they were loading it themselves) the .452 45 CAL 240 GR XTP/MAG. I know this is a pistol bullet but that's what they told me. They also suggested Winchester Small Rifle Primers and 39.0 gr MAX of H110 or w296. I hope this is helpful and I look forward to hearing from anyone else that may have contacted Hornady and hearing what they were told.

H110/W296(slow pistol/fast rifle) and a 45 Long Colt/454 Casull(.452 cal) bullet were my guess for current reloads. To fit that 2.25 OAL, a short bullet is required.

I see Hornady has dies, listed on Midway, but not on Hornady site.

Another post on THR shows BFI as having the magazine followers to convert .223 mags, but I couldn't find a source for these.

I think that Hornady load uses the same bullet design or very, very similar to the bullets used in the Leverevolution ammo. Also, not available as a component.
