I don't really want to send my C&R license out to 50 different companies and then find out I only use 2 or 3 of them.

I've only had my license on file with AIM Surplus but I just got done stuffing two more envelopes. Century and SOG will be getting a copy soon. I've heard they were decent places.

So my top three would be:

1. AIM Surplus
2. Southern Ohio Gun
3. Century International Arms

A, B & C:
AIM for quality goodies
Brownells for the significant discount on parts and such you never knew you needed
Century for awesome multiple-purchase deals on everything thats a little too beat-up for AIM to carry it.

Definitely MidwayUSA and Brownell's. Mine has already paid for itself a couple of times over on discouonts that I received.

You may want to send them out to a bunch of places anyway. For the price of running a bunch of copies of the 03 & $15 for postage you can get it on file with most of the major dealers out there. Having it already on file can become extremely important if they are having a spectacular sale to clear some space in their warehouse by getting rid of their odds & ends. If it is a time sensitive sale (lots of people calling for a few items) you can just give them a credit card # rather than trying to convince them to hold onto the stuff while you mail out your FFL.

Yes, I did find this out the hard way :banghead: :D

Well, Brownell's prices are pretty high to begin with compared to Midway, which is why Midway's discount doesn't seem like much.

Greg L has the reason for mass mailings nailed down. I would have missed a deal on my 91/30 with 440 rounds for next to nothing had I not already been on file, first come, first served in most cases.

My pre-formatted list of C&R dealers has proved popular with many people, and for the small amount of effort one time it is over and done with.
