I vote.............I am voting against ALL who favored it, and will always do so when it involves a loss of our freedoms.

Thanks for the welcome Jimmar.

Sorry Kalifornians...

...for those of you in California... Im truly sorry. ...at this point, I would probably move. ...and not just because of the draconian gun control... but because of the laundry list of other moronic laws these elected idiots in your state have installed. I have never seen a place where common sense is a four letter phrase like that bottomless pit; it's like the tenth level of hell out there.

I mean my god, Dianne Feinstein (no introduction needed,) Nancy Pelosi (the U.S. is going to hell, and shes PROUD to be driving the bus,) Arnold Schwarzenegger (who ironically made millions of dollars expending billions of rounds killing thousands of people for decades-but hey, guns are bad. Imagine if ol' Matrix [Commando] was held back like the rest of Kali's citizens; he would have never been able to save his daughter!) Barbara Boxer (who must have forgot about Jewish history, being disarmed and killed off wholesale, compliments of Hitler, coinsidentally, also anti-gun,) and of course Henry Waxman ("If someone is so fearful that they are going to start using their weapons to protect their rights, it makes me very nervous that these people have weapons at all." ...wow, isnt that what happened during that whole AMERICAN REVOLUTION thing? I doubt that <beep> can even spell it. Im surprised any of them can even spell their own freaking names.)

I mean, with this laundry list of <beep>'s running the state, what in the world do you expect?! You're all lucky youre even allowed to own a paintball gun. I suppose it shows the mentality of the majority of voters out there; H.U.Y.A. is like an epidemic; I wasnt aware it was airborne now, hell, forget H1N1, you people have a much larger problem than that, come on W.H.O., let's knock out a vaccine for that one!

In all seriousness, if you people think this is bad, just wait until 2010, let's all take a long, hard look. If these mentally defective <beeps>'s continue to control the house and senate... well, just you wait, California today will look like an NRA convention compared to what the whole country is going to be like by the time our savior Obama is re-elected in 2012. ...and Im probably candy coating it...

but hey, lets keep putting our heads in the sand and pretending that everything will go back to the days of red plaid and a gun in every household!

If everyone who participates on THR (along with everyone else concerned about the constitution, in both state and federal form) isnt piping mad after today's news, wow. Just... wow. :cuss::fire::mad::banghead:

The Fight is just beginning!

CALIFORNIA LEGISLATIVE ALERT
This information is accurate at the time this CAL-ERT was written and originally distributed. The NRA Members' Councils of California will keep you informed as issues affect your gun-rights in California.

NRA SPONSORS LEGISLATION TO REPEAL AB962!

Earlier this year, Assemblyman Curt Hagman introduced Assembly Bill 373 related to the sales of handguns. AB373 was sponsored by the National Rifle Association in order to streamline the ability for law-abiding Californians to purchase handguns.

Now that Governor Schwarzenegger has signed AB962 into law, people are already becoming aware of the damage that it will do to California and it's citizens. Therefore, the NRA and Assemblyman Hagman have agreed to amend AB373 into legislation that would repeal AB962. The newly amended AB373 will be heard in the State Legislature in January of 2010 so we must be ready for these hearings.

All of California's firearms owners, dealers, shooters, hunters, collectors, clubs/organizations, and ammunition vendors, should be prepared to join in this effort to repeal AB962. This will not be an easy fight, but it is possible to win if we all stick together and act in an organized manner.

We, the NRA, will have specific activities that everyone can participate in during this important effort. Please stand-by and be prepared to help. There is no good reason not to be part of the team.

Read the NRA-ILA News Release regarding Governor Schwarzenegger's counter-productive signing of AB962 Here

As a first-step in this process; please contact Assemblyman Curt Hagman and thank him for demonstrating his leadership by using his legislation (AB373) for this very important effort to repeal AB962. His office phone number is 916-319-2060 and you can email him Here

CALNRA: LETTERS TO THE LEGISLATURE SUPPORTING AB373 (Updated: Online petition!)
Almost everyone now knows that the NRA is currently engaged in an effort to repeal the ammunition buyer registration scheme (AB962), that Governor Schwarzenegger signed into law, by passing AB373 next year.

As you might have heard NRA-ILA CA State Liaison Ed Worley say on NRANEWS.com , we are planning to deliver a huge number of support letters to the Capitol during the Legislative Hearings on AB373 in January 2010.

We can't do this alone. We need everyone to get together and help us gather the volume necessary to be heard. And we want our message to be so "loud" that EVERYONE hears it.

Please download the letter at this link: http://www.calnra.com/doc/supportab373.pdf and print as many copies as you wish. Circulate these letters and send them back to me as soon as possible. Distribute them at gun clubs, Members' Councils, gun shows, gun stores, and anywhere else you can think of.

EDIT/UPDATE: Mike Haas was up all night creating an online petition version of the AB373 support letter. Go to http://www.calnra.com/petition/ to sign the letter of support online.

Forward this message to every list of gun owners that you have. Send it to everyone!

I would like to have tens-of-thousands of these letters to drop on the Capitol during the first hearing!

Please help us continue to fight for our Second Amendment freedoms here in the Golden State.

BTW, for those of you looking for the exact text of AB373, the language has not been returned by the legislature yet. We will post the actual text of AB373 when it officially exists.

Currently, we are out-in-front of everything on this and that is where I want to stay.

Paul

Please feel free to cross-post the 2 alerts above on other forums you belong to especially if there are CA gun owners there.

Non-residents of the People's Republic please feel free to sign as we've been told that it can't hurt us. The idea is hand this petition in when it gets brought before the CA legislature so everyone that does sign in support will be counted in the list of Supporters on the bill.

Again, thank you to everyone that has helped!

So where can we Californians on the front line in defense of nationwide 2nd amendment rights find the full text of AB373? I've done a couple of quick searches and the bills I've found are not firearms ralated.

I stand corrected. I had seen that text, but it does not seem related to "the sales of handguns... to streamline the ability for law-abiding Californians to purchase handguns." Will that be in the amendment to the bill?

That bill is being amended to include the necessary language to repeal AB962. As soon as the amended version is available I'll be happy to post it here.

Ive written hard copy letters, Emails, called and did the online signature. As well as my g/f and a few friends at work.

No longer in CA but I feel for you guys. Were all in this together. Is there a donation link somewhere? Id like to help the guys investing the long hours fighting this for "ALL" of us.

You are absolutely right we are ALL in this together. A perfect example of this is McDonald et al v. Chicago.

CGF was actually the one who footed the bill for the 100k flyers and the shipping to get those out to the members that had volunteered to distribute them.

You can donate to the Calguns Foundation here

Thank you for your support!

Arnold shouldn't even be allowed to call himself a republican ! this bill is the worst thing to happen to gun rights ever in CA . He's making it feel like a crime just to buy ammo for range use .

I loved living in California...it has some of the most beautiful scenery in the nation.

But I left exactly because of this sort of thing...and I'll never return to California to live there. Frankly, I don't feel safe there...twice I had to show a gun to prevent unprovoked physical assaults or robberies. The government appears to want to provide the bad guys with ever more unarmed crime targets.

There will be, of course, a new black market in ammunition in California.

Ammo Bill

I've been on line looking for classic reloading componants, and have been told by Cabela's and Champions Shooters[in ohio] that when this bill takes effect;that they will nolonger ship to Kali.In the case of Champion Shooters, this will include all law enforcement.
I sent an E-mail to federal,[tried others] to request that when this law takes effect;that they cease all buisness with ca.This would hurt buisness for some, but I feel it's the only to get the attention of the mis-reps that must have some bloodline linking them to Hitler.
I realise that the State of Jefferson is only a state of mind, but how I would love for it to become reality. Jeffersonstate.com, check it out.
I hope to escape in about 5 yrs if this nonsense continues.
I don't know if signing the book will help, but it can't hurt anymore than it does.
If Roberts Rules of Order apply to Awnold,I move to Reconsider;I made a mistake.
