A Thread here several days ago inspired me to order a couple more of the Anderson Lowers from Cabelas ($49.99 shipped to local store for pickup ... OTD cost < $54/ea).
I ordered 2 at the Cabelas website but ran into issues when I tried to checkout.
After returning to the Cart for another try for 2 days running, I emailed Customer Service and was told that it was a discontinued item but they had yet to be deleted from the dB.
For Ss&Gs I checked that Cart for 2-3 days and nothing changed; the items were there but I could not checkout.
An hour ago I did that again ... and found that the Cart reflected lower pricing; $39.99 rather then $49.99 ...
... hmmmm ... Cabelas has placed a disconned item On-Sale. Really? So I picked up the phone and called their 800 number.
Amanda, also, could only place the item in her "cart" but the system refused to allow her to continue ... until she put me on hold to do some research.
She returned to tell me that she had been successfully walked thru the procedure to override the glitch (after assuring that the item was, indeed, in-stock) and she completed my order. With tax, $84.78.
Two questions remain to be answered: will the Lowers actually show up at the local store for pickup and, if so, will Cabelas charge me a single $2 to cover the BC or will they want 4$?
