Some of us in California are trying to get 7 referendums on the Nov ballot to repeal new gun control laws recently passed.
AB-1135,SB-880
SB-1235
AB-1511
SB-1446
AB-1695
AB-857

For those of you in California please take the time and sign the petitions.
Urge your friends to do so as well.
You can find where one is available to sign at

https://www.vetogunmageddon.org/
and click locate petitions.

More info also available on

(Mods if this is not the right place please feel free to move it to where it should be or where it will be seen the most, thanks)
(Maybe seen more in General Gun discussions? don't think it belongs in legal)

Thanks. I will sign the petitions. There was talk that these petitions would be at our local gun stores in CA? Do you know if this has happened? Not that I need an excuse to,go to the guns store.

How are these going to interact with the other propositions by Newsom that were basically asking for the same garbage that then got passed by the legislature in a fit of one-upmanship?

Remember that social media can be used to spread the word about the petitions to get these measures on the ballot. Whether you're in California or not, you may have friends in California that might learn about them that way.

As far as I can tell, they don't have any interaction with Newsom's Propositions.

Only a slight possibility that he would not put them on the ballot IF he sees these get enough support to be put on the ballot to appeal the ones the Legislators passed.

Newsom's Prop 63 is on the ballot for this November. If it should pass, it adds sections to the Penal Code and amends others; the new law would become effective the day after the election.

A referendum on laws created by initiative would need to begin after such initiative has passed.

See the CA SOS page http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ballot-measures/referendum/

Noticed the link was not working today, thanks for the updated one, edited my post to reflect the one that seems to be working today.

Thanks to danez71 for letting us know about the link issue.

They have been at the 3 local ranges I've been to in the past week. One range even had them for all the surrounding counties
