Just wanna know some info on this little gem I found. Haven’t shot it yet, but I can’t find a manufacturer date (all Taurus told me was what is already printed on the slide), who it was produced for, ext.

Serial number is TOE8xxxx

Thanks!

I found the same links, but the letters seemed out of order in the one link (mine starts with a T, and the T is near the end in the example in the chart), and all the Taurus website told me was that it is a 9mm DAO...so that wasn't exactly helpful.

I wasn't in the market for a Taurus...but I saw this at a country pawn shop I happened on and couldn't turn it down for the price. The DAO trigger was tuned up by a local gunsmith legend. It may be a long pull, but it's as smooth as glass.

Keep the info coming!

Apart from the lack of history behind this gun, it shoots wonderfully! Definitely took some time getting used to the DOA, but it will do 15 shot, 3 inch groups at 30ft...so I'll count that as good to go.

The PT 92/99's were made on Beretta tooling. Taurus bought the factory from Beretta and that gun was
one of the first produced. Most owners find that the PT 92/99's just shoot, keep them clean and
keep shooting.

Just remember -- stay away from those hot SMG rounds and +P stuff. The 9MM is hot enough.
A very nice handgun don't beat it into the ground!
