I see that choate makes a collapsible stock for the camp 45. Does anyone know if the stock comes off of the “buffer tube” and what diameter the tube is? Trying to decide between the folder and the collapsible to keep my original pristine, but don’t like the stock it comes with and would prefer to change it out if I go that route. Thank you all for your time and wisdom

Scooer22, Correct, on the marlin it would be a buffer tube in name only. Loonwulf, that’s the one I’m looking at. Good call on the second link, sadly it did not occur to me to look that one up lol. Of course the idea came to me as I was getting ready to purchase the folding variant, midway didn’t know and choate was closed today. I’ll try them on Monday I suppose, but I would imagine it would be the milspec now that I’ve seen your second link. I appreciate it! I’ll try to update if I can get a hold of choate. I like the “old school” flair of the folder, but I’m thinking that the LOP may be longer than factory wood is, plus I may be able to gain some versatility with the adjustable, assuming I can install a stock I like. Kind of a blend of old school PCC with newer furniture. I would truthfully rather just keep the wood on it but it would appear finding a replacement should it ever split (I’ve ordered the 21 spring and buffer) is near impossible, so I’ll save the original for the next generation.

Oh I get it. You want to swap the rear of the stock around. Email Choat and ask them. I'd think they'd give you the info. They've been around a long time and always heard good things about them. Wish I had picked up a .45 camp to go with my 9 way back. Mines either 1st, or 2nd year. 169.00 IIRC. I can't believe how expensive they are now! I hope your getting the newer style buffer. The original white nylon ones get brittle and shatter. Numrich has a great replacement thats more rubberized like a boot sole. Should last a lot longer. Good luck.
