I have had a Poly M14s for about 4 years now and I figure its about time to work on getting it rebuilt. I am looking for a AMU armorer or at the very least a gunsmith with M14 experience. I want to have a Douglas/Barnett 1/10 medium weight barrel and USGI trigger assy',gas assy',bolt assy',and op-rod installed and reparked in green/black. The barrel is short chambered and the GI parts are TRW.

I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas regarding this. If possible I would like to find someone locally in the Baltimore-Metro area.

Thanks!

Don't know if he works on M14s but he'll give you an honest answer if he doesn't and probably knows someone who does:

R.A. Brown
(410) 848-5917
723 Old New Windsor Pike
Westminster, MD 21157

Hours Tues - Friday: 8 - 4:30
Saturday 10 - 2

If he does work on them you can try it out when you pick it up since you'll pass the Carroll County range on your way home.

Echo3mike,

I think I seen ya over at ARFcom. Is it possible? BTW thanks for the welcome!

JBP,

I'll get in touch with Mr.Brown since Westminster isn't far at all. I've spoken to some people at Fulton last year and I couldn't say if I ever spoke with Clint but the ones I did speak to acted like I was bothering them! One call was about tech info advice and two others were about buying some things. Their attitude has ruined it for me. I don't care if they could build my '14 in an hour!

When I was a shop manager (motorcycles)I learned to pay attention to everyone and LISTEN. Many times guys would ask me for advice or ideas which I freely gave. Maybe right then and there they didn't drop a bunch of money but they remembered who tried to help. Quite a few became regulars.

The bottom line is "it doesn't cost anything to treat someone with respect"!

Thanks for all of your advice!

Hey Crazy been a while since we've seen ya here. You might want to try Scott's down Rt 3 on Thelma ave. If I remember right from conversations I've had with him is he used to work for or with Fulton Armory.
