Can't decide on which hand guard to get

Alright I've got the Ar, a DoubleStar HBAR carbine, and have decided to purchase a hand guard. I drool over the Troy TRX Extreme, but like the simplicity and price of the MOE hand guard and it's rails. Any advice? Also with the 16" barrel could I put a mid length hand guard on this thing or do I have to choose the carbine/7.2" hand guard? Thanks

I have the Midwest Industries SS, which is very similar to the Troy TRX. It's a great product. Very light weight and free floats the barrel.

I guess the question is, what's your intended use for the gun? If you want something light to lug around I'd go with the MOE. The TRX is pretty light too, but it would also be a good fit for a precision rig.

Thanks for the advice. I decided to go ahead and place the order for the TRX in FDE so I'll be knowing if I made the right choice or not soon

You can't really lose either way my buddy has the TRX and loves it, I have the MOE and love it. His is set up for longer range shooting and mine is more HD. They are both great, just buy another gun or upper then you can use both kinds,lol.
