Probably close to forty years ago, a single maker in San Diego, CA made after market grips for handguns. I had a set of grips from him for Government Model (Colt .45 auto, 1911 etc) called 'Coffin Lid' grips due to their planar shape and lack of ornamentation.
Anyone familiar (reminiscent) of the maker's name? The name was - as I recall - French and I seem to recall 'St.' something. Thanks in advance.
Not real important, really, just driving me crazy. (I could just walk.)
