To be honest, how many times has your vehicle been broken into when you're out of it for an hour or less when there are no inviting valuables in plain sight on the seats floor or dashboard?

I had a locked Suburban with an alarm broken into on a Saturday while eating lunch at a Chili's. They stole some stuff that was hidden under the rear seat, but missed a G17 under the drivers seat. This was before we were able to legally carry in TX.

There's something of a cottage industry in the unlawful entry of cars parked near courthouses, stadiums, RV and boat shows, etc.

The news coverage of the RV shows, etc. mentions the widespread taking of guns,

Went to New Orleans for my honey moon last year. And had the hotel staff steal my asp baton and a few other things. It was a good time. Also had my AK in the trunk hidden. Thankfully it wasn't touched. Will not be going back. It's loud and it stinks.
