Hmmm... Didn't look in the bird section. Let me ask this if I might. If something says it clumps well, is there something in it Id rather wasn't on my shells ? Speaking of a cat littler I saw today that was "Walnut based"

Precisely....therefore....if you add Walnut to your corncob you will never polish to corncob's bling. The walnut will keep on scratching.

So if it's really dirty, use walnut. Take it out and use corncob afterward....don't mix...or you'll never find out what the corncob polish looks like.

I use corncob with polish 95% of the time.......fixing to try wet and stainless steel......why? Curiosity made me buy a Thumler's:.....my first batch is 2 hours away, not counting the stupid drying.:) Yeah, I know, drying the cases is not where it shines. Ought to have my head examined. It better hurt my eyes!

Wow! Actually yes, the batch was brilliant bling! It's more work tho, since you have to rinse all the dirty, sudsy water, and let it dry. I'm afraid it's addictive tho....did another batch yesterday...not that much bother if you like cases that look new inside and out, including the primer pockets in only 4 hours.

As for you guys who are looking for media at the pet stores, the first problem I had was that I wasted money on corncob and walnut that was too big kernel wise. Didn't work worth a hoot. (That was at the local Pet Smart)

Also I hate the brown dust of walnut.....so I settled for corncob from Drillspot. Shipped for free it is still a great buy...40lb for $34.50 freight free. (86cents/lb) I use a polish with it. The 20/40 stuff is small enough not to get stuck in flash holes, and IME is works every bit as good.
