How many are there in a case?

Saw a case of #500 small pistol primers on APS strips at a show today - the seller claimed it was a box of 5000, but the carton looked far too small - all it said on the side about the contents was "5 PCS". The carton was about the same size as 3x boxes of 1000 tray packed primers - it just didn't feel right. Would suck to get it home and find it was a carton of 5x 500 count boxes. A case of 5000 regular tray primers next to it was almost double the size.

Don't have an APS priming tool, but have been planning of buying one.

Just wary of gun show spin.

Yes, 5000 per case, 5 boxes of 1000. When packed in strips they are quite compact.

Dammit. They were only $99. Felt way too cheap - that and the box size threw me. Could have bought the priming tool with the savings!

Oh well, will see if they're still there next show.

Yup, a case of APS strips is 5k.

A 1k prime box is about the same size as a 100rd CCI MiniMag box

BTW OP, that really is a good price. It is what many of us paid when Midway had them on sale.

I sold most of mine (10k) off when a loading club member offered me $35/k. I took it and bought Federal Match SPP for $30/k
