CCW Training Midcoast Maine

Are there any Mainers here with knowledge of a CCW training venue on the Midcoast? I've heard rumors of a retired trooper in Rockland, but they are unsubstantiated thus far. I'd like to fulfill the training requirement this summer, but can't find so much as a basic NRA safety course closer than Scarborough.

A tip on any classes or instructors in the Knox county area, especially Rockland, would be much appreciated.

I don't know about mid-coast, but Crosby's Gun Shop on RT9 just east of Brewer holds classes regularly. Also, Smitty's in Machias holds at least one class per month, kind of a drive for you though.

Many thanks for the help. I've heard that Johnson's Sporting Goods in Rockland might hold NRA courses and am going to check it out.

Sig Academy runs a lot of courses in that area. The courses are held indoors and out. While not cheap, they are extensive. Try the local clubs like Scarbourugh. They run NRA courses.
