I've been keeping an eye on various cerakote products for a while now, and up to this point, nothing had piqued my interest like the new elite stuff. Seems like the best of both worlds; super low coefficient of friction with even more of that durability that cerakote is known for. However, there is precious little information out there on it so far. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the cerakote elite stuff yet?

I'm really surprised by the lack of information; this stuff seems like it's the best stuff since sliced bread

Maybe it is the same stuff (non-teflon) that they are now coating cookware with. That stuff is pretty amazing and makes cleanup a snap on cookware.

I'm getting a rifle cerakoted at the end of this hunting season. Backlog at my local gunsmith is about 4 months and I didn't want to lose my rifle during deer season. They told me they've used it and recommend it. I'll post my thoughts next spring when I get my rifle back.

In the meantime, it would be great if someone else shared some experiences with the latest.
