For those who don't get North American Hunter mag' - thought I'd post this pic of latest cover. Maybe just me but I think it is one of the most charming cover pics I have seen in a long time.
Children should never be hunting, they just don't have the maturity!!! Parents supervising? We know most parents, especially hunters, shouldn't be out there anyway. Parents making important decisions for their kids? Are you kidding?!! Only the government knows what is best for us!
This is horrible, this is evil, this is child abuse. Look, that gun is bigger than the kid, so even if he had the maturity (which of course he doesn't), and even if it is ok for parents to make choices for their own kids (which of course it isn't) that kid certainly can't control that rifle!
[/end faux liberal rant]
For those who thought I might have been serious, it hurt my head to type all that.
It just came to mind because I was watching the news a week or two ago with my dad when a spot came on about kids hunting. Well, a combination of what the Humane Society rep on the news and my dad on the sofa were saying came into my head.
I love that picture. Reminds me of myself as a youngster, except I wasn't carrying a Lab, I was trying to ride our Golden Retriever into the woods. That Montana Varmint article wasn't worth much, though. Started out good, then turned in to a 2 page rant on trigger control.
