I'm looking through all the threads about good places to buy bullets.
The cheapest I've found is prime reloading at $25 per 500 plus $10 shipping.

Anyone find them cheaper than that anywhere? Anyone know about this fella's customer service?

Also, I'm looking for brass cheap and have found www.brassmanbrass.com to be the cheapest at $60 per 1000 of used 45acp brass.

maybe if Bob Barker would put ammo in his showcase there would be more responses. ;-)

If I would have asked for the cheapest place for nylons I wonder what would have happened.

Just razzing with you folks....this is an amazing forum, with lots of valuable experience. I'm very happy to make this my 500th post.

I got 1400 once fired mixed headstamp .45 acp brass from a guy a few weeks ago for $53.00 del. to my door. Let me fine you his address and I will shoot it to you.

That sounds like a good price on bullets.

I have not used the 230gr, but have used the 200 LSWC. They are 30.00 per 500, but the shipping might be cheaper. Not sure if you meant 10.00 per 500, but this places uses the flat rate boxes so you can get a decent amount (3-4 boxes of 500) for the same shipping charge (8.95).

I don't know if this is any cheaper than your place

$54.90 for 1,000. He said his prices were going up, too, but he had some on the shelf that he sold for the old price.

I don't think I like lead bullets so much, though. I can't pull them with my collet puller, it just squeezes them down.

What I usually buy is this

They adjust the price with a "lead surcharge" and when I checked recently, it was going to be $103 for a thousand. I really like these bullets, though and shipping is free.

As for brass, I just bought some from brassman. The only thing they had in .45 ACP is MIXED which is brass and nickle. I have found a few .40 S&W which didn't make me real happy.

Ebay is a source, too. Most of the sellers deprime and tumble it, which seems stupid to me.

+1 on that. And you never know if what you're getting is going to be what they say either. I've heard of some real ebay horror stories.

I am new here, but check here for brass, www.brassmanbrass.com. Try Cabela's for your bullets, they have Berry's bullets cheaper than you can get directly from Berry's and you don't have to pay the lead surcharge. Also, Powder Valley is a good source for bullets also and they have reasonable shipping rates.

thanks! Funny thing, powder valley is about 30 minutes from my house.
Glad that they're becoming famous!
