Choosing Between .204 .223 And .22-250

When all the 223 ammo is gone off the shelves, 204 is still there.

Well if were my current 22-250, no way am I giving up that rifle. Best group at 100 is 0.08, easy to hold under .2, under that there is probably a good deal of luck.

If it's 300-500 yards you are going to want the 22-250. Everyone will come on here and say that the 223 will work for those distances too, and it will until the wind starts blowing, then your playing a whole nother ball game. The wind bucking 22-250 will do everthing the 204 & 223 will better.:banghead:

a 223 with 1x8 twist using 80 grain bullets will out distance a 22-250 with 50 grain bullets after 400 yds while using less powder therefore burning up less barrels
