My Co-workers and I do a gift exchange for Christmas every year. Since almost all of them are women, they give each other the usual creams, make-up sets, body washes and such.
They have no idea what to get me, so I usually get a billed cap and a pocket knife.
This year ran true to form - I got a Real Tree cap and a Schrade Old Timer folder.

What Christmas knives are you getting?

I ordered a handful of the CRKT M16 knives for 13 dollars each. Make good knives to give as gifts.

I did buy myself a Ken onion worksharp if that counts......every knife in the house is sharp now.

Put an Opinel pocket knife on my Secret Santa list but won't know til the big day if I got it or not!

I asked Lovey for an amber jigged bone Case trapper. She's pretty reliable. It will fit nicely into the belt pouch that now has my #8 Opinel riding in it.

Sharp knives are the deal around here. I use a Chef's Choice. There are a lot of good sharpeners available out there. I have too many these days to use the Lansky that preceded it.

This thing is out for delivery today. It was shipped Monday from Kathmandu, Nepal via DHL. I'm amazed it went 1/2 way around the world in 3 days. It is as issued to the Gurkhas in the British army. I hope I like it. I keep looking with my nose pressed against the widow glass hoping to spot the delivery truck.

The wife got me a Tops Ferret, and I kinda love it. Itty bitty 1 7/8" neck knife that would work as a micro pry bar.

This brought back memories of my father who had one of those in the 1960s. I never understood the two little knives but it was such a cool thing overall to me as a kid. Thanks for posting.

One of the two is a small knife for more delicate work than cutting off someones head. The other is supposedly a sharpener but it does not seem to be abrasive. Both seem somewhat useless to me.... I'll have to live with them awhile to find out if they are actually good for anything.

Here it is, arrived the day of my OP. I ordered the stand with it.

Think of it more like a butcher's steel than a sharpener. It can be used to push a rolled edge back straight to get a little more use out of it before actual sharpening.

Wasn’t for Christmas per se, but on vacation in Durango I bought myself a Mora Bushcraft package with the firestarter, sharpener, and sheath. Bad ass knife.

Also bought a nice little jigged bone Case stockman (I’m a sucker for a stockman) as a memento and a serpentine stockman in yellow for the old man. There’s a story there, so the knife has some meaning to him.
