Looking for some stag or imitation ivory for my Cimarron frontier. It has one piece wood grips now. Anybody know where I can find them?

For imitation ivory, I have found none better than TruIvory from BarS.
One piece elk antler from Sack Peterson is good stuff too!
Whatever you decide, I would suggest having it fitted to your grip frame.

I like American Ivory, (elk stag with the bark removed) which I make myself from elk sheds.
Here is a set on a replica Colt cartridge revolver.
And a set on a C&B replica.
It is not that hard to make a set. Basic woodworking skills and hand tools will get the job done. Power tools are faster but also make it easier to mess something up beyond repair. I did both of those sets with a handsaw, pencil, jig saw, and files to make the basic grip and then finished with successively finer emery paper followed by several coat of a Butchers Wax.

Thank you. I put those grips on nearly 15 years ago. They are a bit more open than the ones on the Model P replica and grab the dirt better. I am experimenting with super glue to fill in the pith on the antler to make it smoother. The Model P grips were fashioned nearly 30 years ago.

Another thumbs up for Tru-Ivory from Bar S Grips. I have a pair on my Ruger Vaquero and they look fantastic and fit perfectly.

Dumb question really, maybe not?
The shape of the grips on both the C&B replica and the replica Colt cartridge revolver look very similar.
I have wondered about changing my walnut 1 pc. grip as well to something a little more fancy but for my particular model I can only find a few that don't grab me. Can some grips for other models fit a Uberti Single Action cattleman?

I wonder if you couldn't just slather it with clear epoxy and then sand it down?
