Removed the front sight block to thread the muzzle of my Saiga, needed to dremel a line down the bottom because an arbor press wouldn't budge it, and now the end result is a sight that moves a little easy for my taste, and is moved forward and lacks on pin, to move it to a proper '47 location.
So, about time to fire up the mill and make a nice custom clamp-on. I just want some basis on what screw sizes to use. #4-40 or #6-32 would match the pins well so I could hide them, but the threads aren't particularly stout. #10-24 or -32 would hold up better, but would be bulkier.
So, guys with clamp-ons on their AR's or the like, know the screw size?
