Wasn't able to find anything on this.

Does anyone know the requirements of a Title 1 manufacturer with a Class 2 SOT (to make NFA items) transporting (not transferring for sale) NFA items and post dealer samples across State lines? Do you have to fill out the same forms as individuals do going across State lines?

And if someone knows the answer to that, would there be any difference in an employee transporting?

Thanks in advance.

All you have to do to transport an FA or destructive device - that is on your lisc - is put it in the car and drive where ever you're going.
You are not required to contact/inform anyone of your trip or destination.
This will also apply to an employee who has a letter from you authorizing him to have & transport the weapons involved.
I have been a Class 3 since 1979. I often take FAs out of state, including into states where their citizens can not own such by state law.

Awesome, thanks Sarge. I just had it stuck in my mind from remembering you need to fill out the form to transport SBR's across State lines.

And I would imagine post dealer sample FA's are treated like the pre '86 ones in the requirements, so I think that answers my question but if anyone has any additional info, feel free to chime in.
