I guarantee this is open to anyone with even a piece of an old rifle a few rounds and the entry fee. Sounds like lots of fun. I bet you can even borrow a rifle to shoot.

I'd shoot my Garand, K31, and 1903A3 and use HXP ammo in the 30-06s and Swiss GP11 in the Swiss. Surely you can shoot more than one relay?

We ran the Texas State Rifle Association Garand Championship and shot Garand, 1903, Vintage Military Rifle and M1 Carbine. You could shoot each relay and every rifle. The first match shot in each catagory was for the championship score. People came and shot repeated times with several rifles. Lots of fun. We used the CMP 30 shot match Garand match: 5 Sighters, 10 shots prone slow-fire, 10 shots prone rapid-fire and 10 shots standing slow-fire.

Decisions, decisions...to bring the M39, which has a sling swivel in the right place but smacks me in the teeth unless I use a add-on butt pad (LOP issues) or the K31, which lacks the appropriate sling loop, but doesn't make me need dental work.

I'll be TDY at Carlisle Barracks during those months, so my gun selection will be limited.
