CNN STRIKES AGAIN
AND STRIKES OUT

By: Barbara Stanley

Here I am, on pins and needles, candles lit and prayers a constant to bring our troops home safely after liberating the oppressed Iraqis and I find myself channel surfing to see what program has the least bottom scroll and best reporting. Having just switched from Foxnews, where the official comment was so far the war is going well, very well, as our forces move into Iraq, soften Baghdad for the big blitz (Shock and Awe). But then I move to WABC, and Peter Jennings is so-o-o- bummed-out and depressed I just can’t watch much and switch next to CNN, where that brow-knitted, pinch-faced Judy Woodruff is asking a reporter on the scene if the White House now considers this first strike a "dismal failure." What? "Dismal failure" rings so loudly in my head, the utter contempt with which it was said by the propagandist Woodruff that I can’t really get out a good laugh when the reply comes back, "well, er, no."

The network stations are reporting the liberation as though we were bringing the full force and might of the arrogant and bullying sole Superpower (as though we should be sharing that title with, say, France and the UN) on the ladies aid society, Baghdad annex. Invasion! They mewl. Tsk, tsk and tut, tut, tut. Their upset at actually having something in this administration start out so well must only be poisoned by the fact that that which they have been trumpeting, the Shock and Awe we have heard so much about, didn’t happen immediately! Not only are the liberal, propaganda media not known for their accuracy, but their patience takes a very close second.

And on the Senate floor, Teddy (The Swimmer) Kennedy, D. Massachusetts and Mrs. H. Rodham Clinton subject the listeners to ear damage. Teddy rails, misses words, stumbles and all while the pitch rises, his face reddens and one just must hit the mute button; with Hillary, now it’s okay raise her voice in places other than their upstairs White House quarters. So far, no lamps have been thrown, so I guess the senators feel somewhat safe.

Bill Clinton’s voice oozed like the sludge it was; Hillary’s reminds me of that voice no one wants to ever have to listen to and no wonder, between the two of them, Chelsea’s Oxford years will be memorable as she took a major in pub-crawling, working on the early stages of alcoholism for the paparazzi of London. All this while Daschle, Minority Leader (yes, that is MINORITY leader), looking a bit haggard as his un-dyed hair turns gray, plays a wild card trashing Bush’s diplomacy and giving the French a pass, then two days later has to back track, yet again. With leaders (you should pardon the expression) like Hillary and Pelosi, the Democrats look to be on a very slippery slope straight to oblivion, proving the sun does come out after the dark clouds have passed.

The sunshine I see is from Ronald Reagan’s shining White House and now it bathes Team Bush, on all fronts, and it is making a difference. No matter the Democrats try to smear Reagan, the effect he had on this country was like a life-giving jolt of antibiotic to a very dangerous infection. Even though the disease raged across the body of this nation and turned into malaise and then coma, the battle has finally been won and the healing now takes its time. And yet, even thus weakened, America still comes to the aid of those suffering around the world and that bright shining is upon us once again. Not only will Iraqis be soon dancing in the streets, but America’s heart will take flight.

America feeds the world everyday and yet Michael Moore is lauded by Oprah as he propagandizes that which he is so jealous of, the spineless bastard. Pro-Saddamists disrupt and rally, recently having in California, a "puke-in" (actions speak louder than words, eh?) but their numbers dwindle with the weather. But the hard core among them pose a very serious threat as they move forward to bring down America at all costs, trod Her into the dirt and replace a good way of life, of freedom, for the original communism now renamed the neutral socialism way of slavery. We fight oppression in Iraq and here at home too, make no mistake. We are all on the front lines now. As Michele Malkin, brilliant writer, has recently profiled, these protestors mean business.

"Craig Rosebraugh’s, former spokesman for the Earth Liberation Front, a violent guerrilla group, rallying cry to his America-hating leftists:

1. Attack the financial centers of the country. Using covert or black block techniques, physically shut down financial centers which regulate and assist the functioning of U.S. economy. This can be done in a variety of ways from massive property destruction, to online sabotage, to physical occupation of buildings.

2.. Large-scale urban rioting. With massive unrest and even state of emergencies declared in major cities across the country, the U.S. government will be forced to send U.S. troops into the domestic arena thereby taking resources and political focus away from the war.

3.. Attack the media centers of the country. Using any means necessary, shut down the national networks of NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, etc. Not just occupations, but actually engage in strategies and tactics which knock the networks off the air.

4.. Spread the battle to the individuals responsible for the war and destruction of life – the very heads of government and U.S. corporations. No longer should these people be able to hide behind their occupations, living their lives in peace while they simultaneously slaughter countless people. Hit them in their personal lives, visit their homes, and make them feel personally responsible for committing massive atrocities.

5.. Make it known publicly that this movement does not support U.S. troops as long as they are serving an unjust and horrifying political regime. Create an atmosphere lacking of support to assist U.S. troops at home and abroad in losing their morale and will to fight. If you are supporting the troops, you are supporting this war and the very U.S. government that is the primary terrorist regime in the international arena.

6.. Actively target U.S. military establishments within the United States – use any means necessary to slow down the functioning of the murdering body.

7.. When engaging in the above six activities, strike hard and fast and retreat in anonymity. DO NOT GET CAUGHT. Do not get sent to jail. Stay alert, keep active, and keep fighting. Remember, an action is only good (especially at this juncture in U.S. society) if it will serve to severely disrupt the political system of the country, its economy, and the corporate interests that drive this society."(End of excerpt, for entire article: http://www.jewishworldreview.com/michelle/malkin1.asp)

The co-presidents Clinton brought terror to a new power and we are all going to have to live with it until we destroy it completely, once and for all.

However, front and center is the actual, reality television at its absolute perfection, our troops moving like lightening across the field of battle. This war couldn’t have been handled better to this point and it’s killing the media and antiAmericans right and left. Not only had the campaign been waged with precision with weapons of surgical, pinpointed effect, that which I would call the best of our people and technology, maximum damage to targets only, but also Saddam’s soldiers are surrendering in great number. And George Bush and his incredible team are proving it’s not a war that will kill indiscriminately but truly, a Liberation of Iraqi oppressed.

The only heaviness so far are the Warriors lost, both American and British, who have fallen on the field of honour. Our prayers are with their families and know their sadness is somewhat lessened in the courageous manner in which their loved ones sacrificed their own lives for the freedom of strangers. They now reside in the Valhalla of Heroes, to live eternally there.

The war reporting on Fox has been, thus far the best, with those embedded with fighters in the thick of it. One disappointing note in all the excellent coverage has been the reporter who mocked the young soldier because there was a Skeletor head atop a pole above the tank, leading them into battle. The reporter may have lessened moral for that young man, but not for me for I have seen Masters of the Universe, understand the significance of the Skeletor mascot and give a hearty thumbs-up as they ride into the danger, our true masters of this sand-covered universe.
