Today I got curious and finally did it. I loaded up some .410 with 1 dram of BP, a plastic wad and some #9 shot before I headed to the gun club for trap. I can't say much other than this is a great idea, a Swiss watch plan. The loads didn't kick too bad at all compared to factory smokeless ones, the patterns were better than factory loads, and there's a great big cloud of white sulfurous smoke when you fire it. What more could you ask for? :D

I strongly recommend you try this at home. A lot.

I'll see if I can get a good video next time I'm shooting, that should be Wednesday. :) I'll pour some 00 buck to try as well as birdshot.
Here's the little .410 pocket popper. I call it my "pepper shaker"

Even though it kicks like a mule and will make you go deaf for a while with factory loads I still love this ugly little piece of :cuss: more than I should. It's got a GREAT trigger and always goes bang, so I'd say it was a good $40 bucks.

I kinda want to get the BP version of this pistol. Perhaps just buy the barrel so I could install it on the frame.
