I was gave a Bianchi holster by a friend for a revolver I have never seen in person; Colt Detective Special 3" barrel. Appears they made them in 2 different versions as the older one did not have a barrel shroud and the newer versions did have a shroud. I was talking to a longtime Colt collector last night and he said they were slightly scarcer than hens teeth! Low and behold I did a internet search and found numerous pictures and even found one for sale with a starting bid of $1200 so they do exist! Anyway I am sure the holster I have is even harder to find than the 3" Colt but if you so happen to find one they are a perfect fit for the new Smith & Wesson Model 63 with the 3" barrel and Hi-Vis sights which is why he gave me the holster in the first place. Anyone on this forum own the Colt Detective Special 3" and care to share any history and production #'s and years made? Pictures would be enjoyed by all I am quite sure! Thanks!
