Back in 1984 I bought a 4 inch 38 spcl. Colt Diamondback at a hardware store in Petersburg Alaska. It had been there for years according to the owner and he sold it to me for $135.

Man was it accurate!!!

I carried it as an off-duty gun for a few years with Pachmeyer grips installed and one day was forced to sell it along with a bunch of other shooting irons back when I was married to the sister of satan.

Anyway, I was going through my box of grips the other day and I found the original factory wood grips.

What are these things worth these days. I have not seen anyone carrying a Diamondback for years.

I will not post a price guess, because I am intrested in buying them if you decide to sell. I have a Diamondback that needs a set of grips. When you come up with a price and if you would like to sell, please PM me.

Go look at the prices on ebay and the gun auction sites.

All Colt grips are bringing small fortunes.
They usually start at around $150. and actually sell for much more.
It's to the point that Colt grips are often selling for more then the gun originally cost.

Thanks for the info. A couple folks sent me some links. They are spendy these days...

I will put them up for sale or trade. I need a set of N-frame diamond grips to make my dads old 1960-61 vintage Model 28 look correct.
