Just got one of these small framed single actions, marked Frontier Scout '62 on the barrel, along with the .22 caliber marking. It has worn finish everywhere like it has been yanked from the holster a skillion times, but the metal and screw heads are in great shape. But no sign of firing pin dings on the chambers, so if the previous guy was a .22 fast-draw artist, he used either live or dead rounds every time! Actually, does anybody know if the frame-mounted firing pin is somehow prevented from hitting the cylinder, if a person fires on an empty chamber?
And what does the '62 on the barrel really mean?
And do I have any hope of getting better grips that fit this?
