I apologize for being so far out of touch  , but what does NRM stand for?

I know Colt produced a WWI reproduction. Is this the WWII reproduction?

The WWI pistol is listed in Colts website but not the NRM is not.

I read somewhere the WWII repro is better than the WWI pistol. Is this correct?

I tried a search but cound not find a meaning for NRM.

Thanks in advance.

The term refers to the markings on the slide, which are made with a roll stamp. Series 70 and some series 80 Colt pistols had very large markings on the side of the slide, and some customers objected to the look. So Colt revised the letering and made it much smaller and attractive. These guns are said to have "new roll markings," or "NRM."

Edited to add: The World War One reproduction is certainly made of better steel. So far as workmanship is concerned they're might be some debate. In any case the new pistol is considered by some to be the best of the current crop.
