How many of you guys run rooms or a radio with your kit (plate carrier or chest rig).
If you do, how do you have it setup?
What kind of radio?
For what purpose?
I've got a Baofeng ham radio (I have my technician's license) with a Nagoya NA-701 antenna, in a Condor pouch on my chest rig. I've got the Baofeng lapel Mic that I have an aux cord running from into my electric ear pro. So in practice, the electric ear pro works as normal, until I have a radio transmission, which I'll hear in my left ear through the ear pro. When I want to transmit, I just use the ptt on the lapel Mic and talk into that. My team mates hear me as if i was just using the radio like normal
It's a cheap setup, but I don't I the money for a Peltor Comtech or anything like that.
