I have bullet molds (Lee) for both the 44 and 36 C&B revolvers. Both cast HP bullets and I use pure lead. From what I have found, I went back to shooting roundball. The round ball is more accurate for me and hits harder in both calibers. My testing is not real scientific as no two animals are the same but those hit with the roundball went down faster than those hit with the HP conical. If I want to use conical bullets and black powder, I use a BPC rifle or pistol.
