Looks like the Bluegrass State is trying to get permitless carry passed! Here is the article from the NRA, and here is a link to the text of the bill. There seems to be some dispute about it though, some people are saying that it would make the dreaded "No Gun" sign now carry the force of law, but I'm unsure.

Section 1 says this: "Except as provided in subsection (4) of this section, a person, including a person with a license issued or recognized pursuant to Section 2 of this Act, shall not carry a deadly weapon concealed on or about his or her person into a building or any portion of a building which has been posted in accordance with this section AND (emphasis mine) in which any of the following are located..."
It goes on to list places like court houses, police stations, etc. To me, that seems to only apply to the already no gun zones, and not other places like restaurants or whatever. I am not a lawyer, so my understanding could very well be way off. Can anyone chime in?

And the sign law is being dealt with as we speak. The NRA and the lawmakers have been alerted.

"Penalties for carrying passed a sign: GONE

Attorney General deciding what signs say and anything about signs: GONE

Specific wording about guns being allowed in your car on school property: BACK IN, JUST LIKE IT IS NOW.

There was some wording on the first page about places where you couldn’t carry. The wording was different that what we have always had before. It was worded so that not only could you not carry in places like a Police station, but couldn’t carry in the entire building if a Police Station was in any part of the building.

We fixed that: GONE

These things weren’t just rewritten, they were completely deleted."

That's awesome! I can't find the updated bill online though, do you know if it's been posted?
