Greetings,

Please rate Cor-Bon's 200 grain JHP loading for urban/semi-rural CCW use in a 625 Mountain Gun. I know the load is reasonably hot, and would not a daily plinker load. I like the fact that it offers a reasonable increase in performance over standard .45 Colt loads, without jumping into the big game hunting / bear defense realm. It's a bummer that most of the standard .45 Colt loads generate ballistics less than comparable .45 ACP loads, especially in the shorter barrel lengths.

Thanks!

Hunter

Third time's a charm? :fire: I've answered this post twice already and the post never shows up... anyhoo...

I bought a box of the 200gr Cor-Bon .45 Colt +P and Choro'd them through a 9.5" SRH.

I will just say that they were not within 100fps of what is advertised (even out of a 9.5").

I've also tried Federal Champion 225gr LSWCHP and out of a 4" Redhawk they run ~950fps IIRC. That would be my CCW load in .45 Colt.
