Does the Socom 16 accept standard M1A stocks?

Where can I find a plain jane black fiberglass pistol grip stock that will fit said Socom 16?

Yes and no

The socom will accept any lower M1A stock, however the upper cover will not due to the optics mount on the top of the barrel. Take that off and it will.

Freds wont return e mail or calls.
Anyone got a source. A Sage would be nice if i didnt have all the rails.

Try RA Parts. If you like the Sage, but don't like the rails, Tango Down makes rail covers that will do just that. Look into a Troy MCS as well. I like the ergonomics better than the Sage and the rails can be covered as well.
Keep trying Freds - he's essentially a one man show. Calls are better than E-Mails, (he's either doing Appleseeds, or he climbing on literally a mountain of M-14 stocks....Good luck!

Don't worry about calling freds. Just order online and wait. It will be worth it. I had another Big Red Birch arrive today. Took about a month. Last time took a week.

Just want a black synthetic stock with no rails and pistol grip. I dont want to cover up the rails. I couldnt find one a Freds. Think A2 or FAL. I appreciate all the help. I guess people are having the same troubles as me.

For a stock with no rails and a pistol grip, the only thing I can think of is the McMillan M2A.
