That's a steal if all those parts check out legit. Those add up to way more money than the asking price but the build is kind of strange. Seems like an odd mix of parts. Only downside is those rails have tons of Chinese copies floating around. Even then it's still a good deal though. A buis on the rail isn't bad really....it's called a buis for a reason. I highly doubt anyone is going to have a good quality optic fail in a gunfight and need to switch to a buis and then need to make a precise long range shot where just that flex means the difference between life and death. That's like hitting the lottery, surviving a lightning strike and getting eaten by a shark on the same day.

Oh, and take anything made by ARMS and toss it in the trash...that company sucks.

It is perfectly acceptable to have a front sight mounted on a same plane rail.

Why do you disagree?

Back ups that you're putting in front of your EOtech for cool guy points, by all means, stick it on the rail.

If you need a front sight to hold a dependable zero, it goes on the gas block. Rails and rail mounted front sights shift through firing and from the rifle getting knocked around. Rail mounted front sights are things guys usually try once in a tactical rifle match and then wonder why they can't hit anything on the 200 yard course.

To not have BUIS is just plain silly....

I'm not arguing against having a BUIS, I'm arguing that if you're solely relying on a rail mounted front sight you're making a poor choice, but to each his own.

Agreed. And I agree completely on a barrel mounted front sight as well. But to not have at least a BUIS on front and rear on a non-SASS gun is nuts. To only have a front is a bit weird albeit I guess it's better than nothing?

i used to have BUIS on everything, but I wound up taking them off and don't use them anymore

(i'm not advocating everybody throwing their BUIS in the trash... just saying i don't think i'm THAT silly)
