Custom Engraver for Stock of AK in DFW Area?

My good friend is coming back from Iraq on his mid-leave, and he's been hankering for an AK. I'm thinking of getting one from Classic Arms, and I'd like to have the stock engraved with his rank, unit etc. (COS Gary Owen, Ivy)

Anyone know of an engraver in the DFW area who could do this? Anyone ever done anything like this? How'd it turn out? Pics?

I think you want a stock carver (woodcarving). Go online and search gun stock carving and you will see examples, and some pricing, for some of the more known ones. I'm sure there are "semi-pro's" in every state, guys that carve wood or gunstocks, and their prices would be cheaper, and they might really love an opportunity to do a carving for a vet. I had a set of grips carved by one of the best, but you might not want to pay what I did, nor would you need that much intricate carving.

Call around to the trophy shops doing laser engraving (most do these days). Explain what you want done. Most have the capability if they have the time.
