I bought a 6 inch 686p...sent the thing to ten ring precision in san antonio...asked them to shave the barrel back to 3 inches and recrown..stick on a weigand front sight..partially debur the hammer...tune the action...
and machine the cylinder to accept moon clips (tk custom style so it will still accept regular speedloaders and loading by hand also)...and I am SOOO tickled with the result...a 7 shot revolver, short barrel but retaining full length ejection, great balance and feel in the hand, quick and I mean QUICK reload with the moon clips and a wonderfully slick and consistent trigger...wish I'd had this done long ago!...
for any of you guys out there wishing your revolver was just a bit more better I sure recommend you contact Alex Hamilton at ten ring....you will be glad you did I betcha...
