Cz 75 compact mag question

If the cz 75 compact and the CZ p01 can interchange magazines,why didn't the company just make one magazine for both?

In the cz 75 compact, the 15roundmag sits flush with the mag well. When using the 14 round PO1 mag on the cz 75 compact, it sits flush as well.

Dimensionally outside, they are the same. So why the internal capacity difference?

Why not make them both 15 rounders?

They both come from factory with 14 round mags. They are identical. 15 round would be aftermarket mecgar mags which also work in both
