I first looked at this thing and thought, 'well, there is a gun for Mr T, with plenty of gold bling'. But I knew, there was something there that said - lets's stretch it out.
So I took it out with my son, the kid who shoots 25 yards with subcompact pistols, and we started off at 50 yards. 25 just seemed like, well, "cheating"...
With a gun he had never even handled before, much less fired, he managed 3 out of 5 on the 3/4 scale IDPA. It would have been 5 out of 5 on one run, but a break in jam threw him off. I could do no better than 2 out of 5, myself.
Even being a full size, full power loads make her twist.
I went out again, and despite some chatty neighbors on the firing line, I was able to get better acquainted with this big sidearm myself.
Long story short - she doesn't like Golden Sabres much, (no idea why), she doesn't like really light cast loads very much, but full power loads with Hornaday 124gr XTPs seemed right about right. I made it up to 4 out of 5. This is two hand standing, BTW, not braced or rested - that would also be cheating. The pistol functioned perfectly, and is completely stock - I have no scratch for a pistol RDS yet. But even with the stock sights with fiber optic front, it was very easy to shoot. As soon as I get with a few buddies I will be getting a video on this AND the diminutive friend it came with, the CZ P-10M.
BTW, I told my son that I expect to see him hitting with this at 75 yards by the end of the year.
