I have a like new CZ P09 I traded for. I really like the pistol and it goes with my other CZ's :) It's the FDE. I went shooting with it and my other CZ's. I got great groups at 15yds with all of them except the P09. I got shotgun patterns with it. I also tried a few different brands of ammo all at 15 yds. Same thing. I looked at the crown of the barrel and one side seems a little "flat" as compared to the rest of the crown. My pics are not great but I think one can tell the difference. Can this be repaired or is a new barrel in order?? Any help appreciated!!

I cleaned it pretty good....I think it's the pic that makes it look that way. Who would do a good re-crowning job?

Any competent gunsmith should be able to crown the barrel, but you might give the importer a call and see what they say. Remember the critical area is the bullet exit point, which is below the end of the barrel.

Pictures are too poor to tell anything.

But if the crown is bad, you should be able to see it in the carbon deposits on the muzzle after shooting it.

A good crown with leave an equally spaced 'star' on the muzzle matching the rifling.

A bad crown will leave an uneven fouling pattern on the muzzle.

To waste time in the meantime?
Run a cotton Q-Tip around and in & out of the muzzle.

Any burs will pick up cotton fibers you can easily see.
