i just purchased this daisy carbine bb gun model 1938b yesterday and after a while shooting it and having fun I got online and noticed theres a adult version made so I am wondering what the diffrences are between these two models and would the rear stock fit my model from the adult model? plus I would like the large loop off the model 1999 so would that fit my 1938b? thanks guys?

The 1938ARR buttstock is available but I think it's a little overpriced at $20 plus shipping, considering you can buy a complete 1938B Red Ryder for $25 from WM. The levers are all interchangeable. I have one on a few of my guns and like it a lot.

As a owner of an Adult Red Ryder, maybe I can provide some helpful insight. I paid $45 for one of these after shooting my son's standard Red Ryder. The thing is a hoot. The Adult Red Ryder has a thicker and longer stock and comes with a metal cocking lever. Once you load it up with BB's, the weight, pull length and sight picture all feel pretty nice.

I've had a Benjamin 347 bolt-action, pump .177 pellet gun since the early 90's and that has been my go-to air gun for ages (pest control, backyard plinking, etc) and it packs a punch with satisfying precision. The Daisy RR comes nowhere close to the accuracy and power of my beloved Benjamin, but it does excel in other areas. The Daisy can hold 650 BB's and can fire after every cock (no pumping (7 pumps), pellet loading, etc) and my 8yr old son can load, cock and fire the Red Ryder without issue. You can shoot 3 or 4 soda cans with the Red Ryder for every 1 can shot with the Benjamin.

Another thing, since the Red Ryder is on the inexpensive side, I don't mind opening it up and tinkering with it, which is also pretty entertaining.
