can the daisy 499B trigger be fitted to work in a daisy 95 without much difficulty ?

No. The 499B trigger uses two screws to secure it, and neither hole lines up with the single trigger screw hole on the 95. Then there's the rear sear plate of the 499B being slanted, whereas the 95 is not slanted. That means the 499B trigger would not lock up with the 95 plunger's sear plate even if you could get the trigger mounted.

Fwiw,
If you’re looking for a better trigger than the standard folded-metal trigger it came with, a model 99 target trigger will work (I have one on my 95). It doesn’t have a safety, and it’s not a 2-stage like the 499b, but it works better than the standard item.
The problem is finding one, long discontinued from Daisy, a used one is the only option.
They do show up on Ebay from time to time (I think ziggo1 has one listed now).
Don’t know if this helps or not, but good luck regardless !
