By any means, check as much as you can; I saw a Monson a couple of years ago with an offset firing pin and short barrel (huge barrel/cyl gap, so much I wasn't sure it was safe to screw it back).
Check for chamber toolmarks, barrel/cylinder alignment, etc
CZ USA used to sell parts at a very high price.
edit:
Just saw you lived "here" . These guns are very strong, so I wouldn't worry about parts unless you're thinking about getting import restricted ones (barrels)... They are also very popular with some shooters so you could re-sell it easily.
You would way better over at Danwessonforums revolver section. Where was the 41 mag made at Monson mass. Palmer??? Blued or SS later year made by CZ . Look at the right side of the frame for where it was made .
-.32 calibers,
- barrels of 4 inches or less,
-10+ capacity (I wonder where they got that one ),
-full auto capability,
makes them prohibited (you can still owe these if you had some of that very specific type of prohib before the new regs passed).
You need a "buy and own" or "own (only)" and "restricted" or "prohibited" license for them.
To clarify things somewhat , .30, 7.63 and 7.65 cal. are restricted... A big shop in Ontario just created a "de-prohib." caliber, the .30 Reid, to convert .32acp's to "restricted". "It is .32 acp sized down to .308 dia bullets. This means some of the .32 acp pistols can be rebarreled to the new caliber and registered as restricted with a 106mm or longer barrel."
Cost is about $150,
Redding dies are $147.99.
But "there was a court verdict saying that 7.65 Browning is still a 32 cal, and it's a precedent and has not been reversed".
