Operation Flashpoint for the PC. One of the best FPS games out there. You should try the Resistance add-on for OpFlash. Very cool, you are in a resistance to a Commie invasion and fight accordingly. Raiding Commie stuff, stealing weapons/equipment, sabotage, ambushes, oh my it has it all... And all with no desert eagles, pistol grip shotties, or chrome berettas...

My prayers have been answered! I have been looking for a resistance game forever. Deus Ex, with the NSF(where I got my name) has kept me busy for too long.

Yep, it's sweet with lots of cool guns. I enjoyed the FAL in Resistance alot. One of the only games I know of where you can get a FAL. I still ended up using the AK74 most of the time though... It should be noted this is not the US that is invaded by commies in Resistance, but some island country that your character lives in. Still awesome though.

The base OpFlash game is you playing in a American "peace keepers" role in some island nation, where the commies invade. Not bad. The Red Hammer expansion you take the role of the Commies in I believe the same conflict as the first. Good too. In Resistance you are also on a Island nation as a citizen, as citizens rise up to fight the invaders. Not the same island nation from the other two games I don't think, could be mistaken. All are tons of fun but Resistance was my favorite. There may be a edition of Operation Flashpoint you can buy that has all the expansions included, not sure. You can also drive tanks and occasionally a chopper and such in the game. Resistance has you stealing and using Commie armor in a couple missions, lots of fun.

You also aim down the iron sights of your weapon (same key as the scope key for scoped rifles, not the same as the defaulted to your right mouse button zoom function...) That is something I love to see in games, iron freakin sights...

Recently got an Xbox...

The Xbox is an amazing system - it looks AMAZING now that I have the Hi-Def connection cable connected to the component input on my TV (do this if you can - it is worth the $20 cable for extremely sharp and vivid color)

I got (for Xbox) Unreal Championship and Halo and Serious Sam for Christmas.

Halo is fun because it is amazing in so many ways, but the combat leaves me cold.

I rented BloodRayne and it has a lot of gun play and slow motion stuff - if you like Vampire type stuff (the heroine is half human, half vamp) it is pretty cool. You get to kill lots and lots of Nazis which is a good thing. I realized they had to make the baddies be Nazis because it is still PC to play a vamp that eats Nazis...

No One Lives For Ever (the first one) for the PC is amusing and someone of a spoof of 60s spy films, but the gun play is actually pretty realistic. Your accuracy is affected by your movement - when you run, your crosshairs open up and precision shooting is not possible.

Lloyd's Weapons mod for Urban Ops has a .454 Casull. How'd you like that for a service weapon? :D

Isn't that a revolver? I'd trust that a helluva lot more than a DE, (I've heard that DE's aren't quite as reliable IRL as they'd need to be to be considered, )
Plus, just think of the look on the BG's face when you cock THAT sucker. If you didn't shoot him, he'd have to change his shorts.
