I always used SP bullets flat base in my 30-06 (hornady 165 grain)
I wonder which will be more effective on deer in the 243 cal. speer 100 GR. SPR BTSP or SPR BRHP or
105 grain hot core SP flat base bullet???

Of those three I would pick, and have used extensively, the 100gr btsp. However, there are better deer bullets for the .243. One of my favorites is the 100gr Partition, or the 95gr SST.

I killed at deer with mine Christmas with a Hornady 100 gr interlock and h4350 powder. One shot one kill. The Nosler is good bullet also i load it and have tried Sierra and Speer all are acccurate but have not hunted with them.

Try and You'll Like . . .

.243 Winchester 90 grain BONDED Swift Scirocco II bullets for deer at 20 to 200 yards. Nearly 100 percent weight retention and smashing impact with great penetration, but handloading is required. Handloading is HALF the fun anyway. My loads are 44.0 grains of Hodgdon H4350 with CCI 250 primers at a C.O.L. of 2.687:" Great for 300 yard Pronghorn Antelope or 200 yard Whitetails. Bonded bullets are the newest and the best big game bullets. Bonding makes the jacket and the core as ONE. cliffy

Hey Cliffy, how many FPS does that load give you with the 90gr bullet? I have been wanting to load some of those to try on deer.
