My 22/45 has seen 20k+ rounds, and most of my cleaning has been fieldstrip, hose down with gun scrubber, wipe off, snake barrel, lube and reassemble. The controls and trigger feel awfully gritty, and there's a lot of gunk in there that I can't reach to get out.
I don't have a sonic cleaner or air compressor, is there a better way? Do I just need to break it down to parade rest and go at the pieces individually? Or can I hose it in solvent and hit it with the sprayer on the sink, and then dry it off?
Is this my excuse to buy an air compressor?
