New Video uploaded! <2:01>

I was able to add a couple of extra squirrels to the pot this week thanks to the Diablo.
Sometimes the little guys get up close and personal in all this brush. Too close to harvest without ruining the muscle. I got a little footage hunting with this 12 gauge Double Barrel BlackPowder Pistol if you're interested.

Nice squirrel hunting!! So please tell us more about your load. What did you do for wading/cards etc.?

It is amazing how well a guy can tailor his loads with the little 72cal. It sure is fun to shoot!! lol

By wrapping electric tape around the petals of a Winchester AA shot cup, I was able to put 1 oz of #6 shot onto a sheet of typing paper at 15 yards with about 30gr 2ff. This load is great for pattern control...but it would ruin a squirrel dinner!

If done in a hurry, it can be a challenge with a derringer platform to place a tight pattern where it needs to be much past 15 yards. Raccoons fleeing from the chicken coop with a Blue Heeler dog and the Diablo proved to be quite an adventure!..lol

I learned a lot about aiming the little 72 with .715round balls. I have shot the RB's to 60 yards over 40gr of 2ff and they sure ring steel nicely! My left barrel hits left and my right barrel hits right. But by using the selector on the hammer as a rear sight it can be aimed quite well.

Derringer or not, with just a little practice, I'd sure not want you shooting at my good hat at 60yards!

Just food for thought.. I like about 25-40gr of powder for the loads. Any more seemed to blow-out the shot patterns and it made the RB's "not" fun to shoot. But I did shoot this target with 24pc of #4buck with the taped AA shot cup and 50gr of 2ff Olde E... This load will surely blow a bear right out of the tent flap!!

Both barrels at the same time?
Dual .72 caliber with 75 gr of FFg.
This IS NOT meant to be fired this way. I'm just a sucker for "science". It's a STURDY rig for sure. The knockdown power is exciting to say the least.

It isn’t very sturdy according to the video showing how easily the grips come apart.

Whipped out the old chronograph and gave this 12 gauge double barrel Diablo a good thorough testing... woah!
