Looking for info on my birthday AR. Here is what I got:

Diamondback DB15 5.56/223Rem (Multi Stamped)
Freefloated M4 profile Chrome BBL 1:9 M4 feed ramps. I found mixed reviews on my google searches. Some good some bad.
The Good:
what I have listed AND....
"the gun ate everything I fed it! Silver Bear, Tula, Winchester! Steel seemd to be no problem at all. No FTE or FTF."
"Over 250 rounds and no FTF or FTE."
"Good accuracy at 100 yards with MAGPUL flip ups and with Leupold scope."

The bad:
"Cracked Lower and the manufacturer will do nothing to help!"
"Rail is not milled correct."
"Junk! Stay away from Diamondback.'

More good than bad, and I think some the bad may be conjecture.

After my inspection/cleaning:

Good fit and finish. Inside the upper did not seem to hav ea great finish though. Looked as if some of the exterior coating has "ran" to the inside. But does not seem to affect the workings of the BCG.
BCG looks good. Cam pin snug on re-inserting. Bolt snug to re-insert too... I think the gas rings may just need "breaking in" though too. Maybe that will loosen up after a few hundred rounds.(?)
I do not like the ATI collapsable though. It prohibits the bolt from a complete cycle when it is completely collapsed; at least that is an easy fix.

My last experiences with an "AR" type rifle was with a M16 "Mattel" issue my uncle let me use Germany in 1986 at Bismarck Kaserne.....so, you can call me a noob if you want...just give me some feed back, advice, info, opinions and whatever you have on this particular weapon.

I think they are ok, although a bit overpriced. The Walmarts in my area have them for $849, and I think they're a $750 rifle at best.

Should serve you fine though. I also suggest just using brass ammo and staying away from steel-cased ammo.

How much did you get it for?
