Never could get any accuracy out of the 90-95gr 9mm bullets. Ive used fast and slow powder. Ive also used light and heavy loads. But they never shot well for me.

How do you like that CFE powder?

My 95 grain load shot really damn good, printed a nice group on target at 30 yards off-hand.

As far as CFE-Pistol goes....I like it! As soon as I use up my Longshot with the 40 cal, I'm going to standardize on CFE-P for both 9mm and 40 cal.

Gorgeous day for shooting today! Thanks for the data. Loaded some CFE in 9, 40 and 45 as my buddy and I want to pair down the powders we have been using. Just trying to get a date to go shoot it and see if we like it.

From what I can tell, CFE-P like to be on the top end of the charge range. As the charge weight goes up, the extreme spread goes down.

Five round strings will give deceptive ES's and SD's. Try shooting the same ammunition lets say, 30 rounds. My Chrony only goes to a 32 round count, I wish it were 50. Fifty rounds makes the typical box of ammunition. But I have seen time and again, small data samples being unrepresentative of the larger lot.

That is true of course. I usually do small strings as well, but take the ES & SD with a grain of salt. Lower is good of course, but as Slamfire posted, it can be deceiving.

Little ragged groups are what make me smile. A low ES & SD for pistol is nice, but not the cure all/end all.

Of course if you shoot six shoots from your revolver and get a 45 ES, it's not looking good for the home team if you plan to shoot these at distance.

I will say that Longshot is no joke, it will easily push a 180 grain HP to 1100 fps...pretty stout. Recoil wasn't bad at all.

ColoradoShooter77, thanks for sharing your chrono data.

Which of the 124gr Berry's bullets did you use?

At what altitude did you test these bullets?

The IMR 8208 looks very impressive! How was accuracy? Just did a little quick research and it looks very temperature stable. Also, does it meter well? I might just have to pick up a pound or two and give it a try.

I shot the AR off-hand from 50 yards, so it wasn't a good accuracy test, but it printed a nice cluster.

I don't use a progressive loader, but the kernals are small, much smaller than Varget, so it should meter pretty good.
